It is
crucial that the UK’s six million unpaid carers are recognised for the contribution
they make to those they care for, and to their communities.. The UK’s health
and social care services simply could not function without the contribution of
the unpaid care provided by families – which is estimated to be the equivalent
of £119 billion a year.
